We service the Northeast Texas area in general. We have done work in Henderson, Kilgore, Longview, Tyler, and Carthage. Depending on the job, we can and have mobilized for field work as required. However, we prefer to do the majority of the work in our fabrication shop, then ship it to the field location to be installed onsite, by us or by others. This is more cost effective for all involved.
Yes we can order materials from numerous different vendors. There have been times when others could not procure materials that we were able to provide the next day.
We have been through numerous safety training courses at different locations. We have taken safety classes at the Safety Council of East Texas and other similar providers, including online and video training. We strive to complete each job incident free.
We do work in the field as required. We prefer to perform as much work as possible in our fabrication shop and then ship items to the field to be installed by us or by others. We have the capabilities to cut, fit, and weld in the field and we have the experience as well. Doing as much as we can in the shop allows us to get more work done in less time. We understand that some jobs just have to be done in the field. We can make accommodations required to complete each job we accept. If we deem the job is not a good fit for us for any reason, we will reject the work or will refuse to make a bid and we will inform you of our reasoning if this is the case.
Payment is due upon receiving accepted goods and services.
We have experience in the following scenarios: pipeline, power plants, refineries, chemical plants, remote pump stations, warehouses, dealerships, concrete plants, and residential neighborhoods. We have worked in numerous conditions over the past 25 years. If we have not worked in your environment, we will get the proper training and will get the job done safely. We adapt and overcome at Fortis Specialty Services.
Yes we can cut materials for you according to a cut list. We can flame cut thick plate or saw cut structural steel shapes to custom lengths. We can set up to make repetitive cuts or we can make specialized cuts. We can deliver materials cut to size to your location. We have several different methods of cutting materials in our shop to allow us the flexibility needed to meet customer demands in various scenarios.

We do not offer design services. If needed, we have access to design services to help us complete awarded projects. We can layout and design awarded projects in CAD (2D/3D) in order to minimize material overages/losses and to help us streamline our work.
We do have highly recommended sub-contractors who meet our high standards of quality and safety. If the Fortis team does not provide a necessary service, we have colleagues who do.
Materials are daily fluctuation week in and week out. Depending on the materials and components needed for the project, we have several suppliers we work with to get what we need within a reasonable timeframe. We will work with you on the progress of ordering materials for your job and will keep you informed along the way.
We can and sometimes do work after hours and weekends. These are overtime hours and are a premium charge. If the job calls for it, we will do what it takes to get the job out the door and delivered on time. If overtime is not clarified in the purchase order, we will inform you of the overtime prior to billing for it.

Our shop is 5,000 square feet.
Our laydown yard is 2 acres.
If the project has mobilized, we will invoice for the manhours and logistical costs invested into the project. If a project is cancelled within 10 business days of project start date, there will be zero cancellation fees.
We accept checks with pre-approval and credit cards when invoiced through quickbooks.
